Daily Urban News Alert:Tameka Raymond and Usher may be headed to court again. Attorney Lisa West representing Tameka stated that celebrity R&B artist Usher celebrity attorney, John Mayoue, may have helped the judge that awarded Usher custody, Bensonetta Tipton Lane, get reelected in 2008.
According to campaign finance reports, Mayoue’s law firm donated $1,000 to the judge’s campaign, hosted a fundraising reception, and sat on Lane’s reelection committee.
CBS reports that it is legal for attorneys to contribute to campaigns, however, must appear avoid being bias in all cases.
Due to the revelations, Tameka is asking for a new trial. Watch:
