TD Jakes leadership conference boosted for Orlando’s economy
The Orlando Convention and Visitors Bureau estimates that Bishop T.D. Jakes’ three-day Leadership Conference generated $6.5 million for the local Orlando economy, according to Jakes, a well-known evangelist and radio personality.
According to Brian Martin, corporate communications director at Visit Orlando, the 5,800 pastors and church leaders who attended the March 31-April 2 conference spent millions on food, lodging, entertainment and other expenses.
