Same Sex Marriage not a problem according to Rev. Jesse Jackson.  The Grio is reporting that Rev. Jesse Jackson  mentioned to a Human Events outlet at the Democratic National Convention that he sees “no problem with same sex marriage and that he would perform a gay marriage ceremony and without hesitation is basically his take.

My take, Chile Pleeze!

First of all it appears that Jesse is justifying his decision by  using the civil rights act of 1965, while I don’t disagree that gay people should and deserve the same civil rights as every other citizen of the United States and should continue their gay rights argument, however,  I whole totally disagree with Rev. Jesse Jackson comparing performing a gay marriage ceremony as a civil right or even gay right.

Rev. Jesse Jackson would perform a same-sex marriage if he was asked to. During last week’s Democratic National Convention, Jackson told conservative outlet Human Events that he sees “no problem” with gay marriage.

“Beginning with the Voting Rights Act of 1965, to the inclusion of blacks, Hispanics, 18-year-olds, and women, opportunities are now unlimited,” Jackson said.

When asked if he would perform a marriage ceremony between two people of the same gender, without hesitation he replied, “If  was asked to.”

This spring, Jackson called for federal protections for gay marriage,s just as  civil rights are protected by the federal government.

“If the states had to vote on slavery, we would have lost the vote,” he said at the time. “If we had to vote on the right [for blacks] to vote, we would have lost that vote.”

My suggestion to Rev. Jesse Jackson,  without hesitation, is to  focus on helping Jesse Jr. get himself together instead of trying to drum up business, reminds me of an ambulance chaser.
