Presidential Inauguration 2013: Official Swearing In Ceremony-Video

Presidential Inauguration 2013 Begins with official Swearing-In Ceremony!

The official presidential inauguration 2013 swearing-in ceremony of the president must be held on Jan 20 and since that date fell on a Sunday this year, President Obama officially became the 57th presidential term president today at 11:55 a.m. in the Blue Room at the White House.

His lovely first lady Michelle Obama held the family bible given to her mother by her late father and Malia and Sash were at their Dad’s side.

Some may remember that Chief Justic Roberts misplaced the word ‘faithfully’ in his adminstering of the 2009 presidential oath and it had to be redone in private, this time around, though he read from a sheet of paper and got it right.

Vice President Joe Biden was sworn in earlier in the at the Naval Observatory–the Vice President’s official residence– by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who became on Sunday the first Hispanic to administer the oath of office.

Biden, surrounded by family, took the oath in a private ceremony attended by 120 guests, who included family, friends, former colleagues and others. He used a family bible for the ceremony and was sworn in by Justice Sotomayor.

Following Biden’s swearing-in, the president and vice president laid the traditional wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery.

The Obama family stopped at Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church in the District for a service on their way back from the cemetery.
A public ceremony will be held tommorrow followed by a long day of celebrations including galas and balls of all sorts. congratulations Mr. President and First Family.
