Presidential Inauguration 2013 Congratulations Mr. President for the 2nd time

For more than two hundred years America’s citizens have witnessed the Inauguration ceremonies of the President and Vice President of the United States. From the first Inauguration of George Washington, in New York City, in 1789, to today, the country prepares for the  Presidential Inauguration  2103, the 57th quadrennial Presidential Inauguration, this time swearing in for the second time an African American, Barack Hussein Obama.

Some will say that it does not have as much momentum as the four years ago, however,  I beg to differ.  Many thought that President Obama would never see a second term, Wrong !   Several activities are planned in and around this momentous occasion click here to get a full run-down, but here are some highlights of the day

Star Jones, Angela Bassett, Eva Longora and Yolanda Adams are scheduled to attend and participate in  the “Service Summit” a service and works fair taking place on the National Mall which  gives more than 100 community service organizations a chance to demonstrate their projects and sign up volunteers for the “National Day of Service” that the first family promotes as a way of honoring the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

In addition BET will once again host a Inaugural and will feature *Bell Biv Devoe, Doug E. Fresh and MC Lyte.

According to EUR web The black tie affair will take place on Jan. 21 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Smithsonian National Art Museum in Washington (8th & F Streets, NW). Frédéric Yonnet, Jermaine Dupri and DJ’s D-Nice, DJ Kiss and DJ Quick Silva will also be on hand.

The Swearing In Ceremonies will take place on the National Mall with Myrlie Evers-Williams performing the invocation as President Barack Obama uses the Bible of Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King, Jr. (wow)  there will be  musical selections by Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, James Taylore and of course Beyonce performing the National Anthem.
