President Barack Obama made me so proud tonight. He spoke with passion, enthusiasm and certainty. In a nutshell our President  showed  Mr.Clint Eastwood that HE is Sitting  in the Chair!

Highlights of President Barack  Obama’s  2012 speech included:

“I won’t pretend the path I’m offering is quick or easy,” Mr. Obama said. “You didn’t elect me to tell you what you wanted to hear. You elected me to tell you the truth. And the truth is, it will take more than a few years for us to solve challenges that have built up over decades.”

“But know this, America: Our problems can be solved. Our challenges can be met. The path we offer may be harder, but it leads to a better place. And I’m asking you to choose that future.”

“On every issue, the choice you face won’t just be between two candidates or two parties,” Mr. Obama said. “When all is said and done, when you pick up that ballot to vote, you will face the clearest choice of any time in a generation.”

What was a surprise and a very touching moment of the evening for me was when Mrs. Gabby Giffords , who was shot in the head by a would-be assassin in Tucson, is still recovering, appeared on stage and made a speech her first since the shooting.

Gabby’s appearance on stage reminded me of what an amazing God we serve.

President Obama spoke to 20,000 supporters as opposed to the 70,000 scheduled to attend in an out-door stadium venue, due to anticipated bade weather.

Realizing that thousands of convention attendees would be disappointed, the president offered these remarks during a conference call earlier in the day:

“The problem was a safety issue,” Mr. Obama said. “You guys can imagine, with all the nagging that goes on and the security issues involved, getting 70,000 people into a place is tough; getting them out of there is even tougher. And if we had started seeing severe thunderstorms and lightning, in particular, it would have been a problem.”

I am sure no matter where you watched the President speak, you got the picture, Wow! He is the Man and we have to get our part now.
