Keith Williams: I Believe God (video)Sneak Peek, and Review

Gospel music artist Keith Williams is debuting what I foresee will be a hit on the gospel billboard charts this Fall.

Check out the this inspiring video of I Believe God, I received this morning from gospel recording artist, Earnest Pugh. The song and video touch the mind, body and soul, I give it a high-five!

Now who is this Keith Williams:

Hailing from Silver Spring, Maryland, Keith Williams began his journey as an artist at the tender age of 5 where he sang his first solo. Around that time his mother began teaching him to play the piano by ear. At the age of 11 he began directing the Ebony Gospel Choir at the Jerusalem UMC in Rockville MD. Since these humble beginnings, Keith has matured into the writer, vocalist, musician, producer, actor, model and businessman that he is today. If one were to glance down the road he has traversed, you would get a glimpse of a man who has been an accompanist for the Studio Lirico Opera Program in Cortona, Italy (1994); a Gospel Music Workshop Clinician in Nassau, Bahamas (1996); featured in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands in a benefit concert for the St. John School of Music; a traveling cast member with the New York Harlem Productions European Tour of “Porgy and Bess” (1997); and how the list continues.

Keith is greatly influenced by the writing styles of Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, Donald Lawrence and Myron Butler; vocal techniques of Donnie McKlurkin, Daryl Coley, Yolanda Adams, Myron Williams, and Myron Butler; the lifestyle and work ethic of Betty Griffin Keller, and moved by the manifestation of the word as presented by Jackie McCullough, Paula White, and Carolyn Showell. “The music I sing helps me express myself literally, to Christ, to God. I feel that my voice, not just my spoken/sung voice, but my thoughts/words/sentiments are things that only I can say. So, when I sing them to God, I really do feel like I am having personal one-on-one time with God. Even music that I sing to encourage other people is my way of saying what I feel God would have me to say, it connects me.”

Keith keeps a balance in his life by striving to spend as much time in non-church environments that he spends in church. “Oddly enough,” he states,“this keeps me aware of who I am in Christ and who I proclaim to be.”
