Joy Reid ‘AM Joy’ Tops CNN Quarterly Ratings For The First Time

Once again Black Girl Magic is on display and this time on MSNBC anchor Joy Reid and her show AM Joy.

The Wrap reports that Reid’s morning show crushed CNN’s quarterly ratings for the first time since it’s almost two years ago on May 7, 2016. Even better, it’s the first time that MSNBC has ever topped CNN on Saturday morning shows in the 25-54 demo in 16 years.

Audience tuning in has grown 33 percent since the last year’s quarter ratings. As of now, Reid’s show is up 27 percent on Saturday’s for the key demographic.

Fox news maintained their number one spot for their Saturday and Sunday morning shows in both the viewers and demo category. The spot for second place was close but ended with Reid sliding in on the top in total viewers. However, the show didn’t grab first place in the demo’s category.

The last time MSNBC topped CNN in the audience category was back in 2001 for their Sunday morning show, so MSNBC has made a huge comeback thanks to Reid.
