Another Pastor goes off the deep end by beating and attempting  to strangle his wife while Drunk!  (smh)  I often wonder why Pastors don’t seek counseling for themselves when they feel that their mental health is becoming unstable and why Preacher Wives don’t insist upon them seeking help when they notice signs of family abuse and  violence occurring.

It just saddens me that Pastors who  counsel people all the time, refuse to get counsel for themselves, WHY?

FISHERS, Ind. — The Rev. Victor Richardson of New Zion Fellowship Church is currently sitting in the Hamilton County Jail without bond, according to Sheriff Mark Bowen.

On May 27, Richardson, 40, was arrested on charges of strangulation, domestic battery and resisting law enforcement at his home in Fishers, according to Fishers police.

Court records show those charges were filed May 29.

Bowen said Richardson was released on bond. However, a warrant was later issued for a violation of probation. Richardson turned himself in June 18 and has been held since.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Fishers police were dispatched to Richardson’s home in the 13000 block of Allegiance Drive on May 27 after receiving a call that a man was intoxicated, had strangled his wife and would not let her leave.

When police arrived, the affidavit said, Richardson barricaded himself in the master bedroom and refused to come out. At one point, the affidavit claims Richardson said he was going to kill himself and upon receiving no further verbal response from him, officers kicked the door open.

The affidavit noted that Richardson refused to comply with commands to show his hands and was immobilized with a stun gun. He also, according to police, held his arms tightly against his chest, forcing officers to pry his hands away to cuff him.

Richardson’s wife, Monica, told police he had strangled her to the point that she could not breathe, and that their two daughters had to pull him off her so they could leave the house.

Police said that she had

redness and swelling around her neck.

According to the affidavit, Richardson later admitted to grabbing Monica by the shoulders while his teenage daughter was in the room because he wanted her to listen to him.

He told police he knew he had “messed up” and should’ve never touched her, the affidavit said.

A pretrial hearing is scheduled for July 10.
