Good Pastors Still Exist!!!

I don’t know about you but I get so tired of hearing negative things going in the church that I thought I would start highlighting Good deed Pastors, those folks who are really making a difference in our lives and our communities.  Hence, the church lady blogs would like to extend its  congratulations to Rev. David K. Brawley, Pastor of St. Paul Community Church in New York City who is doing great things for the members of Brooklyn and the surrounding boroughs.  Check out Rev. David K. Brawley’s story below:

New York, NY– May 12, 2016 –Reverend David K. Brawley, Pastor of St. Paul Community Baptist Church and co-chair of local community organizing entity East Brooklyn Congregations (EBC), recently helped over 300 families in the New York City Housing Authority receive critically outstanding apartment repairs in the required 30-day time frame as demanded at a recent action staged by EBC.

A single mother of four was living in deplorable conditions in her NYCHA unit stated, “There were roaches in the fridge, strangling mold/mildew in the bathroom and feces coming up through my bathtub.”

Rev. Brawley personally toured the apartments and advocated NYCHA on her and dozens of other family’s behalf, expediting the process to get the long-awaited, necessary work done to make every residence livable.  Read the full, exclusive story HERE.

St. Paul Community Baptist Church is a nonprofit ministry dedicated to serving the borough of Brooklyn and the needs of its congregants who reside across the borough as well as the five boroughs of New York City, Long Island and northern counties of New York and New Jersey. The organization was established in 1927 and is currently led by Pastor David K. Brawley.  Located in the East New York section of Brooklyn, one of the roughest neighborhoods in the Tri-State area known for its history of gang violence, crime, drugs and poverty, St. Paul Community has grown to be a safe haven and resource organization ministering to communities around Brooklyn and the NYC area and through its African Justice Ministry, provides aid and assistance to the continent of Africa and islands in the Caribbean. Pastor Brawley is full of passion, love and fervor for the Word of God and his obedience to the call of ministry is evidenced in his leadership.  He started his ministry as a youth minister at the age of 16 at First Baptist Church in Deer Park, NY and served in that ministry for 13 years.  He began his full-time career in ministry at St. Paul in 1994.
