Jaceyon Taylor also known in the hip-hop music industry as “The Game” told Vibe magazine that you can be a Christian and still have a Swag.

The Game, who started his career glorifying Young Gang Life, got baptised more than a year ago by Bishop Noel Jones, lead Pastor of the City of Refuge Church in Gardena, California, allegedly told a Connecticut radio personality that it is still difficult letting go street life.

According to Vibe magazine, The Game’s soon to be released project entitled   “Jesus Piece gives him  an opportunity to speak about situations that people like him who love God but are still street and still wanna remain themselves without going the Pastor Mase route. “It gives the opportunity to know that it’s somebody out there that feels them.” says Game

Clearly trying to maintain a street life, “The Game continued his interview with:  “You can still have swag and be a Christian, you ain’t gotta wear a suit to church, you ain’t gotta take a bath in Holy water. You can still have your Ciroc in the club, it’s just a faith thing and making sure you try to do right. I’m still a father, I still smoke, I still rep Compton, I still might shoot dice or have a fight if I have to defend myself.”

Now, I appreciate The Game’s willingness to be open and honest about his stance on Christian life, I am baffled that he could think that it is ok to continue to live in the same manner by which he lived prior to his baptism.

Keeping it Real, The Game, you are correct you don’t have to be holier than thou, nobody can be holier  than God.  However,  as a Christian, one must constantly try to transition from the  “Gods of the secular world.

I am not really sure what The Game was trying to convey in his interview with  Vibe other than promoting his new release.

What is clear is that he is not that interested in willing  to change his way of life but he is definitely interested in making good hip hop music.

Remember,  The Game, you cannot serve two masters!
