College Student Is Angry After Receiving A Receipt With Racial Slur On It

One Texas college student is outraged as a racial slur was found printed on her receipt and now has some serious questions for her university, according to NY Daily Post.
Chelsea Shaw, a student at the University of North Texas posted on Twitter April 17 after she received a receipt from a UNT union worker that called her the N-word on her receipt at the Krispy Krunch Kitchen, an on-campus dining spot.
With a picture of the receipt, Shaw tweeted, “I need answers. ” Within hours, the post went viral getting retweeted over 4,000 times.
The student worker responsible for printing the ticket is African-American and has been fired from their position, according to WFAA News.
“Especially at a school like UNT who has its mission of being very diverse and multicultural, I donât think she was prepared to see that. And when she saw that, it disgusted her,” explained attorney Justin Moore.
Neal Smatresk, the UNT President released a statement following Shaw’s tweet that said, “Our Mean Green family values respect and prides itself on inclusion.â He continued, âIt is completely unacceptable and not who we are as a community. We acted immediately to identify the person responsible and that person has been terminated.â
