Bishop T.D. Jakes Take on Preachers of L.A. it ain’t good (video)

Preachers of L.A. drew 1.1 million viewers while many pastors are not talking about it, Bishop T.D. Jakes is, calling the show junk.

During a recent service at the Potter’s House in Dallas, TX, Bishop T.D. Jakes while taking the morning offering, had this to say:

“Now, I know you been watching that junk on TV,”

“I want to tell you right now, not one dime of what you’re sowing right now will buy my suit. I want you to know my car is paid for. I want you to know I got my house on my own. I want you to know I’m not bling-blinging. I am not shake and bake. I had money when I came to Dallas and I plan to have some when I leave,” Jakes stated emphatically.

“You did not buy what I got,” he continued. “I had it when I came here. You know I had it when I came here. The devil is a lie! I have sold enough books and produced enough movies. I don’t need your offering to pay for this little slimy suit. So I rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.” He went onto say “I am not from L.A. I am from Dallas.”

While he made sure to stay away from mentioning the names of his colleagues, Bishop Noel Jones, Deitrick Haddon, Bishop Clarence McClendon, Pastor Wayne Chaney, Bishop Ron Gibson, and Pastor Jay Haizlip. Bishop T.D. Jakes referred them as being “shake and bake” and distanced himself from them reminding his congregants how he earned his wealth through book deals, movies, etc.

Hats off to Bishop T.D. Jakes for taking a stand and voicing his opinion publicly. So many Pastors are talking about it amongst themselves behind closed doors but mum is the word in front of congregations.
