Bill Cosby Family Turn Up!

bill cosby trial

Before I give you my take on the Bill Cosby Rape Allegations, I would like to allow his family to have their time to speak on the matter, as it appears everybody wanted to give the alleged victims the spot light but the Cosby Family is getting very little play from the media:

Access Hollywood has obtained an exclusive statement from Bill Cosby’s daughter Evin.

“He is the FATHER you thought you knew. The Cosby Show was my today’s tv reality show. Thank you. That’s all I would like to say :),” the statement from the 38-year-old reads.

Allegedly, Evin also took to her facebook page noting:

“Rape is a serious allegation and it is suppose to be taken VERY seriously but so is Falsely accusing someone. When someone rapes a person they go to prison. THAT should also happen to the person that has wrongfully accused an innocent victim. They are not ONLY destroying innocent people’s life they are ALSO making it hard for the MEN and Women to find justice when they have been raped,” she wrote.

She questioned the validity of the alleged victims’ recollections of the supposed incidents.

“Drugged- you can remember the whole damn day but you were drugged? Just sayin. Memory- you can remember you looked at (allegedly) eachother, people were starring allegedly remembering your home address allegedly the name you called him allegedly But you were allegedly drugged,”

Evin was not the only Bill Cosby Family Member who spoke up for America’s beloved dad, his wife of 50+ years Camille also turned up releasing a such a powerful statement that she was not only trending on twitter but also facebook:

Further, it was reported by Los Angeles Associated Press on December 15, 2014:

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles prosecutors on Tuesday declined to file any charges against Bill Cosby after a woman recently claimed the comedian molested her around 1974.

The rejection of a child sexual abuse charge by prosecutors came roughly 10 days after the woman, Judy Huth, met with Los Angeles police detectives for 90 minutes.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office rejected filing a misdemeanor charge of annoying or molesting a child under the age of 18 because the statute of limitations had passed.

Days before Huth spoke to police, she accused Cosby in a civil lawsuit of forcing her to perform a sex act on him in a bedroom of the Playboy Mansion when she was 15 years old. Cosby’s attorney said that Huth attempted to extort $250,000 from the comedian before she sued and that she’d attempted to sell her story to a tabloid a decade ago.

Cosby is seeking a dismissal of Huth’s lawsuit, arguing it is blocked by the statute of limitations.

Huth told police that Cosby molested her and that she had no further contact with him after the incident, according to a summary of her allegations included with the prosecutor’s decision.

In rejecting the case, prosecutors evaluated the charge Cosby would have faced in 1974. Prosecutors took into account legislative changes that extend the statute of limitations for certain crimes, but found no way that Cosby could be legally prosecuted.

The statute of limitations for filing a misdemeanor case is one year; the statute of limitations for a felony sex crime committed in 1974 was three years, according to the prosecutors’ analysis.

Now here is my take:
If we all think back to the late 1960’s, 70’s and a good portion of the 80’s most of america was on taking some type of recreational drug. Think, Woodstock, studio 54 and Hollywood, Chile Pleeze! Now I am not saying, cause I don’t know, (and you don’t either) if these women were victims or not, I do know, being a woman, that if I felt that I was assaulted in such a manner, I would not have waited 20, or 30 to tell my story and let’s keep it real, most women would not.

I believe I saw a video tape where one woman alleged that she did not come forward because it would hurt her career, really, so was your career more important to you than being raped???

I further think that it is a crying shame how the media found Bill Cosby guilty and the man was never charged for the crime, and as it turns out won’t be charged for the crime? So what was the allegations really about? I am sure these women knew before they came forward that they were way beyond the statute of limitations. Was really all about ruining Bill Cosby career, legacy and take a piece of his good fortune,

Clearly there is a different standard for the way the media handles celebrity stories, Bill Cosby story reminds us a lot of the way the media covered Michael Jackson story, to this day we don’t know if Michael Jackson ever molested children, we know that he was not convicted of the crime, but his career and legacy will forever be tarnished just like Bill Cosby. Yet, when the Seventh Heaven actor Stephen Collins who portrayed another america’s beloved Dad confessed to molesting children on tape the television networks gave his story airtime all but what about, 3 days. (come on now let’s keep it real)

Yet, the Bill Cosby Rape story never seems to die.

It was so apparent that every time the story seemed to be moving away from the media, somehow another woman would pop up.

What was even more telling for me was when the internet was buzzing around that all of the women coming forward were of European descent, up pops some sisters.

Now, I  don’t want it to appear that I don’t question if these accusations are true,   the fact is that I don’t know and you don’t know and there is no factual evidence to date that is proving these women claims to be true, those are the facts as of today, hence, I will uphold just as the justice system is supposed to that Bill Cosby is an innocent man until PROVEN guilty!

My Take on this story is that we have got to stop prosecuting our black men without justification just like we have to stop killing them. Now clearly Bill was no Saint but it appears that his family is handling their family business, their way, so its not up for me nor you to judge the way they have decided to handle their marriage. That’s none of our business.

If I ever had the opportunity to interview America’s beloved Dad,  my question to Bill Cosby would not be ,  Bill did you drug and rape these women?

My question to Bill Cosby would be:  “America’s beloved Dad, who did you piss off ?
