Apollo Nida, Another “Catch Me if You Can” Movie Maybe?

Apollo Nida gets 1/4 of his sentence cut in half for showing Feds how he did what he did!!!

Well the Judge has spoken and Real Housewives of Atlanta Co-star, Phaedra Parks  husband, Apollo Nida has been sentenced to 8 years in prison and that was a blessing chile.

According to CNN,  Apollo Nida created two fake collection companies to gather personal information used to steal victims’ identities, U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said after his sentencing in Atlanta. He used the information to get fraudulent auto loans in the names of his victims, according to the criminal complaint.

Nida “knowingly and willfully (did) execute and attempt to execute a scheme to defraud federally insured financial institutions by depositing stolen and fraudulently obtained checks and fraudulently obtained auto loan proceeds into bank accounts opened in the stolen identities of real persons, and conspire with others to do so, and knowingly convert to his use and the use of others stolen and fraudulently obtained United States Treasury Checks,” Special Agent Alexandre Herrera said in a sworn affidavit.

Nida’s fake companies fraudulently signed up with “LexisNexis, Equifax, and Mircrobilt databases” to steal personal information on people.

Along with the fraudulent auto loan checks, Nida stole U.S. Treasury checks, “retirement checks issued to Delta Airlines employees, and checks in the names of real people that were owed unclaimed property from various state and federal government agencies,” the complaint said.

TMZ Reported that the judge who sentenced him  in a Georgia court said Nida did indeed cooperate with federal investigators by spilling criminal secrets … and that’s why he got leniency.

I think Apollo took a page out of the movie, “Catch Me if You Can” based on the life of Frank Abagnale, who, before his 19th birthday, successfully performed cons worth millions of dollars by posing as a Pan American World Airways pilot, a Georgia doctor, and a Louisiana parish prosecutor. His primary crime was check fraud; he became so skillful that the FBI eventually turned to him for help in catching other check forgers.  And that’s how he got out of doing his time.

Allegedly he shaved 1/4 of his sentence by showing the FEDS how he did what he did!

CLB family lets please keep Phaedra Parks and her family, especially those precious boys,  in our prayers.

(Yes I am a huge fan of Real Housewives of Atlanta!)
