Byron Cage – Officially goes Radio on 104.1 Praise DC

Byron Cage started his new role  as a radio personality on Washington, D.C.’s Radio One’s Praise 104.1FM (www.praisedc.com). The Gospel music icon hit the airwaves as the new host of Sunday Joy, on Sunday, November 25, he worked the mid day shift from noon – 4 p.m.  at a brunch at the Carlyle Club (411 John Carlyle Street, Alexandria, VA 22314). as reported by Sarah Hearn,  examiner.com

The GRAMMY Award nominee  broadcasted live from the venue on his first radio appearance in his new slot.

The minister of music of Ebenezer AME Church in Fort Washington, MD and St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Richmond, VA, is known for hits like “The Presence of the Lord” and “I Will Bless The Lord”. He recently dropped his ninth release, Memoirs of a Worshipper, featuring the Top Ten hit, “Great And Mighty”. Cage talks about the new project in a cover story in the current edition of Frequency Inspirational Magazine. The singer will also be highlighted in the December issue of Christian Voice Magazine and was recently featured in BRE Magazine, the AFRO American Newspaper and on BET’s Bobby Jones Gospel.

Byron Cage took time out recently to share his knowledge of the industry with the music students of Oxon Hill High School in Oxon Hill, MD. The school’s choir, a 2009 Stellar Award Winner under the direction of Dr. Emory Andrews, got a chance to listen to the artist talk about his beginnings and the up and downs of the music industry.

He also answered questions and took photos with the students.

Wow, I wonder how in the world Cage is going to have time to effectively be minister of music at two churches, continue his recording artist career and be a radio host, Chile Pleeze, I am tired just thinking about that.
